ADC Projects was contracted to assist in a High Level Scoping Study to determine the requirements for a Thermal Power Facility project in Ghana to progress into the feasibility phase.
The Project Developer identified a potential project site near the town of Daboase for the 400MW power facility and staff village to be constructed. Combined Cycle Gas Turbine technology, with Heat Recovery Steam Generators and a single steam turbine was identified as the preferred generation technology. The Power Plant was to be connected to the 330kV grid belonging to GridCo of Ghana.
A component of the scoping study was for ADC to suggest a preliminary design of the facility to fit within the boundaries of the allocated land.
Both the scoping study results and preliminary design was used as input for a Project Information Memorandum (PIM) to be issued to potential financiers.
